Name that futuristic looking city!

Can anyone name that futuristic looking city? It's the home town of one of the members here. To me, it looks like part of the unfinished Death Star.

Anyone else have any real-life futuristic looking city pictures?
 
Maybe not futuristic, but a bit other worldly looking. World with a toxic atmosphere and tall building that rise above it. I guess that could describe LA too. :)

Wierd. Your pic isn't showing, CosmicGamer. I see the IMG code and address listed when I quote your post, but the pic isn't showing up on my screen. I can copy and paste the address and it works in another window, but not on the forum. I'll bet it's something on my end.
 
Been there many times. Not really futuristic looking though. Old buildings. I think it is a nice place though.

Working for me.

It's an interesting view - I love that most blocks seem to have largish courtyards in the center.
 
Can you imagine trying to find your way arround those city streets...eeeeek?

I like my rural beautiful 100-200 foot old growth trees and all the beauty of nature that surrounds where I live in Southern New Jersey, USA. I like seeing deer, raccoons, and all types of natural wildlife walking through my yard. Also we have Red Tail Hawks that rooste/nest in the local trees in one of my neighbors trees.

I can no longer see it either now. Folks can do a web search on "Dubai-buildings-above-clouds".

My instant impression was "archaic", not "futuristic".
 
After having stared at the Barcelona pic, there should be a rule in urban design that every cluster of n blocks should have at its centre a unique, tall, immediately-distinguishable landmark for reference purposes. ...And a plaque on every block that has the classic map that tells visitors

This is nowhere as involved as developments in other cities but for dead-center in the Midwest it's downright cutting edge, a proposed hi-rise condo tower in the heart of Indianapolis.

Great... an airfoil section set vertically.

I hope the architect took into account the lateral forces that will generate in high winds.
