New Origin of Life Theory?

What we know about science is always changing. We are always wrong when it comes to what is "out" there in space, etc. That's why we go out there to see what things really are.

Life does not violate the second law of thermodynamics, but until recently, physicists were unable to use thermodynamics to explain why it should arise in the first place.

Just as you said Shonner, our understanding of things is always evolving. It will likely be some time until we have a firm grasp on this, and may likely take the discovery of extraterrestrial life, in whatever form, for us to get a more complete understanding of all of the operating principles.

If the 3I is a few thousand years from now, and there are dozens of extraterrestrial sapients let alone all the myriad of non-sapient life forms, this principle would be well understood by the Galaxiad period. That would probably be part of the underlying foundations to the science of chimeras and synthetics.
