uh... latest rules set? There is a new edition?

Mongoose Traveller is the latest official Traveller ruleset - he is referring to the fact that the old CT based adventure is updated to Mongoose.

Awesome. But please Mongoose sort out the art direction for your books. The Alien Modules really let you down. Aslan are not lions yet it appears that disney did the art for the module. And the Vargar art is similar to the "poker play dogs" painting. Vargar are wolves, not the domesticated dogs shown in the book. So please sort it out for the sake of long terms fans and the universe your playing in.
Take a leaf out of the Pelgrane Press play book and the way they respect the lovecraft Material for TOC.

I am sorry you feel that way. However, boh Mongoose (and Marc, who has to approve everything we do before release) believe the Aslan and Vargr were bot badly in need of an update.

Could be, but IMO they did not need to be turned into Lion Men. And, indeed, IIRC you actually kept the text description of them as vaguely lion-like, but not really. I submit that your illustrations do not adhere to that description, being extremely (and belief-shatteringly) lion-like.

Fortunately, as text has always trumphed illustrations, canon-wise, I don't have to believe in them. But it is a pity that they're useless for showing to my players.

I'm really looking forward to Dynasty to see if I can't flesh out a few places in my campaign. The preview -really- has main brain fired up for some good space opera outside of the usual Imperium versus x that typically ends up occuring in my campaigns, often thanks to the players.

I'm thinking it'll make a nice X-mas gift to myself.

The "update" given makes it look like neither the art director, artists, nor editor read the text.

Which makes Mongoose look bad..

Thanks for the update Matt.

It's great to see the Traveller line running strong.

Dynasty and the Campaign Guide are very interesting tool-kit like books, I'm looking forward to reading them (I also see that there is a preview of the Campaign Guide available on the Mongoose site).

I've been hoping for an updated version of The Traveller Adventure; the updated Secret of the Ancients was well done but I wouldn't want to spring it on players too soon, the Traveller Adventure is just right for a "standard" Traveller game.

I'm also excited about the 2300AD line, lots of cool stuff! Keep it coming.
