OTC/University Question

Couple of Charater Gen questions:

When graduating from University can you apply the XP to any core class you qualify for? Additionally, if you get in to OTC and graduate, can you use that XP for a Service Class? (My first reposne would be no, but I want to know what other folk think) Also, once getting into OTC, and graduating, when you first enter the service the following term do you still attend "Basic Training"?

I'd say yes, as long as you satisfy any of the requirements.

I'd agree with no. OTC may be military, but they will only teach the basic military skills and not the full service skills - the rest is concentrated on developing "officer potential".

Nope, you don't (which may well work out better, as you get a better chance at more than the 1000xp for Basic Training 'cause if you do Basic you don't get an XP bonus chance). THB pg 125, very top left.

I would allow the OTC XP bonus to be applied to the class of the service the character will be joining, but not any other XP earned at the University.

No, if you successfully complete OTC you are not required to attend Basic Training. See the top of column one on page 125.
