Other scenarios for Azhanti High Lightning

I looked around some in the forums, but I couldn't find any additional scenarios for AHL. I am thinking about running this at a local game con and I could use the ones that come with the game, but if anyone has any others that would be good in a convention setting let me know.

Thanks!

You may have to bash something together on your own. How about a 'typical' dungeon crawl?

After following up on several seemingly unrelated rumors, an AHL-Class hulk is found on the surface of a small world (X452000-0) and the PCs goal is to:

1 - Recover the 'Black Box' and return it to the nearest Naval Base.
2 - Recover the military-grade medical substance and sell them on the Black Market.
3 - Recover the Captains Log, which may contain clues to a possible follow-on adventure.
4 - Loot as much of the armor, weapons and ammo as can be carried away.
5 - Rescue any survivors.
6 - Repair the ship raise it to planetary orbit.

(Choose any two; one primary and one secondary goal)

Meanwhile, a fearsome Trope-asaurus prowls the lower decks and picks off the PCs one-by-one; a coursair flotilla is on its way and will arrive within 12 hours; a few crewmembers have survived, gone insane, and consider the PCs to be the vanguard of an enemy invasion; the sun is showing signs of an imminent solar flare; the ship itself has gained sentience, and was purposely crashed by the crew to protect the shipping lanes; and once the power plants are brought back on line, a voice can be heard over the 1MC counting backwards from 100, at a rate of one count per second...

Of course I could come up with some of my own, but I'm lazy! :-) Also, I haven't played much AHL so the scenarios would need some testing to balance them. Although at a con I would probably fudge a lot to ensure the game was fun for everyone.

Thanks for the ideas. If I do this, I'll post an AAR.

There is also a first person shooter game called PORTAL where the company's A.I keeps telling you there will be cake at the end of the "tests" you are going through

What is a good source for deckplans for the AZL?

I believe the deck plans were in LBB 9, Fighting Ships, if my memory is holding up. Don't have my resources with me but I'll double check when I get home.

The only place you'll find the deck plans are in the AHL boxed set (which is also on the CT CD) and the MT folio Arrival Vengeance (and then only a representative sample of decks). They are not in Fighting Ships.

LBB9 has no deck plans whatsoever... It's just combat stat blocks and fluff text.

In an old thread (Parts for an AHL) in the TNE area we discussed the history of an AHL (Cause Rampant) though this was primarily for the post virus era some of this could be used for scenarios in earlier periods. (The vessel actually disappeared fate unknown long before the virus period)

No idea how to link to the old thread though.

Did you look in Traveller Wargames? I adapted some of Adventure 7 for AHL here:

Comes complete with maps and counters.
