Playtester's Free to Talk

hunter

Ancient - Absent Friend
Just wanted to let the playtesters know that they are now free to talk about T20 in other forums, and with specific details. Reviews, comments, etc., are all welcomed and encouraged.

Hunter

Hey, tres cool Hunter. Perhaps they should have a separate forum heading within the T20 » T20 - Traveller for the D20 System section, perhaps "The Making of T20 - Traveller for the D20 System". So come on all, while you wait for your gratis copy of T20 fresh from the printer, give us the juicy inside scoops! What ticked you, what tickled you. Give, you have amnesty, be free, sing loud. We await your clamorous chorus with baited breath. Too much? How 'bout a simple please?

What's going to happen to the playtest forums? I mean are you going to make them available to the public as Read-Only Archives or will you remove them from the board?

Please let it be the former.

So what is the requirements for the navy class or is it like a prestige class or what and if you have to multiclass into the navy class what would be the best class to start in Traveller or Mercenary?

The only way to take levels in the Navy class is to enlist in the Navy. So, you would enlist--just like in Classic Traveller--and at that point would be able to put experience points into the Navy class. If you enlist in the Navy as your first term, you can start as a first level Navy guy. Once you are in the Navy you may take levels in other classes too, but must keep your Navy levels equal to other classes.

So once you've mustered out, you can't take any more Navy levels, but must take any new levels in other classes (Traveller is a good choice). If your GM runs an active duty Navy campaign, then everyone could take Navy levels while in play.

What would the Req be to be a officer in the one of the service classes ? This would be important to a Starfighter campaign.

I must have missed this "keep levels equal" bit. Where is that?

Crickey, that was from an earlier draft, and I can't find it now. I guess they dropped it. I didn't like it anyway.

A character can go to college, attend Navy Officer Training Corps and become an officer that way.

Or, each 4 year term he has a chance to roll for a Commission, and become an officer that way.

If you were running a Starfighter campaign and wanted everyone to be an officer, you could just decree that they all made their commission roll first term.

Is their any single crew fighters or interceptors most of the other traveller stats I see on the internet probably home brew for Starfighters are 2 man crew ?

Well we did go through what 22/23 revised drafts to fine tune this mammoth book of lovely Traveller goodness, so i think it is inevitable that most of us will have missed a change here or there Doc

Is the art going to be full color? I mean in TA002 the pictures were black and white though the pages themselves were in color.

Hunter

So Hunter or other T20 personel does this mean your closer to a diffinitive date of when T20 is going to be release or at least shipped out and also will we recieve our T20 books when the stores recieve theirs ?

OK, Hunter said specific details are open for discussion (and thanks again btw) so if one of you exhausted playtesters can help me out with a little project I'd be grateful.

What are the specs (wt., cost, TL(S), etc.) for a pair of the "really cool sunglasses" described in TA#1 with the HUD integration. Is there a Light Amplification model (and its specs)? Or even basic LA glasses. Thanks.
