Pocket empires campaign

Brandon C

SOC-13
I am looking for 2-3 more players for a chat-based Traveller game to be run once a week.

* The setting will use standard Traveller technology, with empires of 8-12 star systems, as well as unaligned worlds. Tech level within an empire will not vary as much as star system generation rules provide for, especially for the highest population worlds. This is not based on any published pocket empires campaign.
* I am not yet decided on the theme of the campaign, but having the PCs be crew on a 2000 ton cruiser outfitted for exploration has an appeal to me. I am not interested in running a merchant or purely military campaign, although the PCs being "troubleshooters" in a small ship also has appeal.
* Sessions will be two hours if on a weeknight, four hours if on a weekend. I am in the Central US time zone.
* Ruleset will be CT, GT or MgT1e depending on player preference
* Chat will be on a free website

If there are any questions, feel free to ask.

I'll toss my hat in the ring. I'd prefer MgT1 rules as those are the most complete I have. I could play in either campaign idea you mentioned, though the small ship of troubleshooters has more appeal than members of a larger ship does. I'm in the Mountain Time Zone so I'm an hour behind you. Most of my weeknights are booked. My weekend afternoons tend to be free so I'd vote for the weekend. Do you have an idea of what chat program we'd use?

I'm leaning towards using roll20, which can be accessed via app or web browser. I'm looking into some other options.

To clarify times:

7-9pm central if on a weekday, tnough 8-10pm is possible

On weekends, a four hour block between noon and 7pm

Additionally, I do not plan to start the campaign until February.
