Greetings,
I'm a bit unsure on how to use railguns for point defense.... I'm guessing that all it takes is e a railgun loaded with canister rounds, and then it's just a matter of making a regular point defense reaction as per Clement Sector - The Rules p.126, is this correct?
What about different sizes or railguns? Are turrets less effective than barbettes due to the smaller caliber ammo? Do bays get to use more PD reactions without penalty due to their autofire rating? Or is the simplest solution the correct one, i.e. have canister, may react (any railgun with canister may perform PD reactions, regardless of the size or type of gun)
