Pre-Grav Plate Ship Designs

My Muse is active again, and I have been writing up a storm.

I have a story taking place just after antigravity is invented, and a character comments that they are designing a whole new generation of ships. It made me realize my concepts and drawings were all TRAVELLER standard. Anyone know a source of non-grav designs I could steal...err...be inspired from?

iirc - Pod9's Jovian Chronicles have all non-AG starship designs - some really neat stuff there. In an FTL universe without antigrav, it'd be very easy seeing those ships become the first interstellar exploration and war vessels.

Yep, JC is a no-gravitics setting. fusion power, limited reaction mass. Lots of "spin-grav", tho'.

Babylon 5 Earthforce ships might be worth looking at

the 2001/2010 Space Odyssey ships were done for a Star Frontiers adventure

C.J. Cheryh's Merchanter and Union Books, particularly Bown Below Station are non grav FTL ships, Spun hab sections with both spin and thrust floors think an L type thing, and gimballed compartments, like the bridge, kitchens, hosptials, and workshops.

Crews sleep in hammocks slung in laticed spaces, sometime in the spaces between decks are examples of how well she thought through her tech and basic assumtions.
