Problems with Blueyonder

This is to people in the UK who use Blueyonder to access the web:

I recently moved my domain (trisen.com) and the Traveller StuffOnline website to a new host. (70x disk space for 1/4 cost seemed like a good idea.) However, once done I then found out that my local ISP (formerly called "Blueyonder") blocks web traffic to that IP number. I know the site is up, I can see it via a proxy or if I take my PC round to a friend's house. Blueyonder's tech support muppets have suggested "change your cookie settings", and "uninstall your antivirus and firewall software" and "the problem is with the web host".

So if you use Blueyonder and can't access http://www.trisen.com/sol please complain to them. Maybe if enough people complain they might accept there's actually a problem.

Regards PLST

Well to tell you the truth Blueyonder now Virgin is expensive compared to other ISP's in the UK, Im on Demon and its a lot cheaper and im on an 8meg service.

I live a somewhat nomadic life at the moment ... 6 to 9 months at each location depending on where the work takes me. So I just use whatever broadband connection the landlord has (for free).

I use blueyonder and get through just fine, Hemdian. BTW, I really liked your entry on the crates.
Thanks, ravs. Maybe the only location on the entire planet where my website cannot be accessed is where I'm currently living (ironic). I don't know how much of my site's traffic is from blueyonder but its good to know the problem is only for a subset of them.

Don't know if this makes sense given the current problems, but if you want somewhere to host your "Evolution of a Starport" project (once its complete), I'd be more than happy to give it a home.

Thanks, Hemdian - I don't really know what I want to do with the 'evolution' project when it's finished, if anything at all, but I'll give it a think once it's done.
