QEII Deckplans

IMTU there are a lot of big ships. The majority of trade between systems is provided by ships in excess of 50,000 tonnes, run by large corperations. The smaller merchants of up to 1000 pick up their crumbs, either to unprofitable worlds, or specialised cargos.

I was looking for inspiration for a proper sized liner, and found these:

Sadly they only show the "public" areas.

As there is no equivalent of a cheap flights I'd have to add some 2nd & 3rd class areas as the QEII is designed for luxury holidays, whereas I see Traveller liners having a much more Titanic demographic, with plenty of poor people seeking a new life etc.

Your inspiration may want to come from a hotel rather than the Titanic. I have always thought that a vertical orientation makes great sense for any large ship, especially a passenger ship. That way the manuever drives could run at 1G and no artificial gravity would be needed. Of course, in jump AG would be needed just like any starship.

Maybe, but I suspect they would want to travel above 1g. After all, the transatlantic liners made a big selling point of being the fastest. Clipping a just few hours off your nearest rivals best time would be great publicity.
