The optic armour thread gave me an idea...

A variant of the smoke grenade that releases a cloud of trillions of light-reflective molecules about half a micron across. They are small enough to remain aloft for some time and severely reduce the effect of laser fire. Essentially this is an infantry version of a sandcaster.

Obviously this is also useful for disrupting laser communications.

Sealed suits are suggested as the "sand" is damaging to the lungs, causing an acute syndrome related to silicosis.
 
Anti-laser 'prismatic aerosols' were used in CT. Certainly in Striker, maybe also in Book 4. They tended to be vehicle launched, not sure if an infantry version was developed in canon. Great minds, eh?

Half a micron across? Aren't those a bit too small? I'd suggest grains about 10 microns across or larger to get an optical effect in the visible or near IR.
 
Equipment

Traveller has always been a bit sparse in the equipment department, unless you have a large traveller library. I think there might be a market for an equipment catalog, with stats for all editions of traveller.
