Revised Pre-Enlistment Options

I've put together a consolidated, revised and annotated pre-enlistment option list; I tried to preserve the LBB5/LBB6/LBB7 spirit and rules while clarifying the system, allowing pre-enlistment for all careers (including LBB4) and adding three new options (Military Academy, COACC School and University).

The entire system fits into the two sides of one A4 page (if your printer permits two-sided printing); just print it and drop it into any CT CharGen system. Yes, it was made with my CharGen system in mind, but I don't see any problem with using it in conjuction with any variant of CT (and possibly MT and/or T4) - just ignore the reference to my system's unique careers (Law Enforcement and Technicians).

Get it here.

Not really he just didn't call it the "Graduate school", through the University at the bottom of the page you can earn a Masters/Ph.D.

Graduate School is an American term, right? I was thinking in terms of the Israeli academic system, in which it is simply called a University. Hell, College is only an option here - you could study your B.A. in a university as well, and Medical School is 7 years including the studies that in the American system would be included in a "pre-med" College.

Not quite, Graduate School refers to any study after the initial Bachelor+Honours degree. It could be a Masters (1-2yr study) or Doctorate. The Americanism is the word College itself (and seriously hoping it is a daemon that Traveller exercises) which in Canadian English refers to a subset of a University or Polytechnic institution. What do Americans refers to a polytechnic, I need to figure out.

Yes, as Kafka has already pointed out, "graduate school" has a broad meaning here. In the US, Colleges can (generally) only issue BAs and "professinal" MAs. PhDs can only be awarded by Univerisities. In addision, we have 2 year "community colleges" (the decendents of the old "teachers colleges") which award an associates degree, which are usually in technical fields (but many people also use them to work thier way into a 4 year program if they did not do well in HS).

Really nice work pulling all of that together. If you are looking for an Advanced CG year by year school system, let me know and I will pass my notes and tables along to you.

Wouldn't mind seeing that myself at the moment since I'm developing my super advanced mega classic traveller D6+ character generation system (guaranteed no later than the actual 57th century).
