I've treated it* as a combination of T/ Computer and K/ Robots (or Robotics) with T/ Electronics and/or T/ Mechanical being useful depending on the desired task.
This eliminates the need for a new skill (the K/ Robotics supplements DCs for existing T skills) and also allows for differing types of Robotics specialists. (programmers, frame designers, repair, etc.)
But I'll take a look at T/ Robotics when TA9 is released.
