sarsilmaz 40mm grenades

Ackehece

SOC-13
new for 2012.... and you did not even know you needed them in Traveller... but you do
er ... these are probably FN and not sarsilmaz

The RLV-AD (Anti-Diver) round is designed to explode at a depth of 5 meters creating an underwater shockwave that is lethal at up to 15 meters and harmful up to 30 meters. The round is compatible with many NATO 40x46mm grenade launchers

:oo:

RLV-TB-AD contains 100 grams of a thermobaric compound called TBC-2. Upon hitting the target the compound is dispersed into the air, creating an air-fuel mixture, then ignited. These grenades are said to be very effective in small buildings and caves.

Hmm, I don't think you get those very much in Traveller. Spaceship interiors generally seem quite big and open, apart from staterooms, but, how would you smuggle a grenade into a spaceship? I think most outdoor/war combat would be in the open, or large buildings like starports.

Ummm... 77T, these are rounds*, that are fired from a 40mm grenade launcher... like those below.

Launcher, Grenade, 40 mm, M79

M16A2 with an M203 grenade launcher attached

They could also be fired from a 40mm grenade pistol
Ultra Force 40mm grenade launcher pistol

A ship is where a fuel air grenade like this would be in it's element. The over pressure in an area like a ship would crush a target and if that does not do the target in the sudden lack of oxygen would, and if that doesn't the flash burns would.... Hope you are in Battle Dress...

As for anti-diver grenades - your Travellers have not yet tried to highjack/infiltrate a starship floating on the water refueling yet ? They always suggest something like scuba. Or as I call them now... Twitching Dead Fish.

Both these grenade types use overpressure as their main means of killing...
BattleDress, Vacc Suit, and a few other things would help but God help those who are not in something totally environmentally sealed and armored up the wahzoo.
