Scout/Courier Cargo Space

I haven't seen this posted yet, but then I haven't read every post...

Page 325, second paragraph:
"Small cargos may also be carried in the ship's compact 5-ton cargo hold."

The Ship's Data section & the Design specs both list cargo at 20 tons.

Was just wondering the other day, that since a Scout can have a crew of 1, but has 4 staterooms, you could use those 3 spare staterooms to carry cargo? Maybe to fit in an extra 7.5 dt, or 10 if the scout sleeps on the bridge (which is probably what scouts do anyway isn't it?). Might be handy for those small 1d6 sized cargos...
