Secrets of the Ancients

I have a question. I understand that the new Secrets of the Ancients is a revised version of the campaign of the same name in MGT1. However, is it an expanded version of the CT adventure Secret of the Ancients or is it something else? In particular, does it incorporate the CT adventures Research Station Gamma and Twilight's Peak? if not, what is the relationship between the new Secrets of the Ancients and those three CT adventures?

The MgT version of SotA is a vastly expanded take on the original CT SotA adventure. There is no tie in to a MgT version of TP or RSG since neither of those adventures have been re-written for MgT.

That said there is nothing to stop you using RSG and then TP before running MgT SotA.

Expanded? LOL you can say that again. Meeting Grandfather gets you thru about 40% of the adventure. Being chased by Zhodani, Imperials and your Uncle Bob (not joking) all at the same time is bad enough. Its the other 60% of the adventure that could cause TPK.

You could use the Mongoose campaign as a sequel to the CT (multi-book) campaign, or replace the last CT book (Adventure 12) with the Mongoose campaign.

And the endgame of the campaign could cause TOTUK (Total OTU Kill), at least by implication, depending on the players' choices.

MongooseMatt responded elsewhere on COTI “It does not incorporate those adventures. However... we have just started development on what will effectively be a prequel to Secrets that _does_ have revised/new takes on those two adventures. Keep an eye out for Mysteries of the Ancients...
