Serpent Class Scouts

All,
A question; are there any other sources for the Serpents other than JTA #2, 'Scouts and Assassins'', and 'Merchants and Merchandise'?

OK, I looked at all the references, and thankyou all for your ideas. Spinward, the images are good, the funny thing is that a good chunk of them are mine, sigh. So why am I asking? Well I was looking at last effort and I realized that I had gotten better at CC3 in the last 10 years. Then I realized that I got it wrong! The empennage is A mostly missing and B that which is there is wrong.
So I looked at the sources that I have JTA #2, 'Scouts and Assassins'', and 'Merchants and Merchandise'. JTA #2 is some color text and the deck plan. Its wrong, as we all know. 'Scouts and Assassins' has the same wrong deck plan and it has some dimensions. 32.3m long, 8.2m wide, and 5.4m High. If you look at the JAS plan you will see it is tad over 32 squares long and a bit over 8 squares wide. In other words the ship is right size (for the color text) it just has the wrong grid on it. So I took the 1m grid off and put a 1.5m grid on. It works for the most part. So I reshuffled a few walls and out popped this 10 years ago.

Mark was nice enough to put it in the Apocrypha 2 disk. (So I will not put a large version here since it is available.)
Here is the the new corrected version with the empennage corrected.

OK, now that all fine and good, except the dimensions given in 'Merchants and Merchandise' are different. Of course they are!
They are 32.24m long, 9.5m wide, and 5.4m high. So I did that one as well.

Now I should say that I think that both the "S and A" and "M and M" Serpents are small. Both are about 100 squares per deck but they are not 3m high as would be normal, they are 2.7m high according to the color text. oops.
Then there is Scout SX, the Wind class. In S and A there are no numbers just a mention. In M and M there are dimensions and a description of
how the they are made. They put in a 50 DTonn steight piece of hull just aft of the airlock and in front of the wing root. So the dimensions of the SX are; 43m long, 9.5m wide, and 5.4m high. In that they Jump 3, and more staterooms. And run over the 150 Dtonns of hull they defined. Opps again.
I have drawn 3 versions of the SX, One with expanded Jump, one with the extra staterooms, and finally a 166 Dtonn version with all of the goodies
(47m long).

Then there is the Avion Class A2 on the same hull type but increased to 200 Dtonns. Dimensions 58.48m long, 9.4m wide, and 5.4m high, with stubby forward swept wings. I looked for a 1970s/80s example of this type of wing and found the Let_L-13_Blanik glider. I cut the wings down for the drawing, but the full proportional wings looked real good when I experimented with them.

The Avion is a horrible A2 with the total height of 5.4m the cargo bay is not high enough for cargo containers.

Oh a final note the deck plan of the Avion has a typo on it, the cargo bay is 2.7m high not 5.2m as stated. (my fault)

So that is the redraw of the Paranoid Press's Serpent, Wind, and Avion Classes as per the color text. The drawings are close but each is a bit on the small size so I took from the bridge 20 Dtonn to fit stuff in.

Enjoy
