Is there any limit on how much you can put in a ship's locker?

IMTU, there are two: a 2m^3 weapons locker on the bridge, and a 1m^3 safe. And usually, there is an EVA locker (0.5m^3: 1m wide, 1m tall, 1/2 m deep) in each eva airlock for cable stowage.
Usually an EVA locker contains 50m double ended quick-release (remote release capable) EVA cable, and a couple of 25m ones, plus a pair or 25m umbilicals with LS & 1MW power capability, and finally a "soft-dock" kit: a trio each of 3m extendable spring-assist spacers plus 5m of cable, and a hand crossbow for shooting cables across. Also standard are a dozen 5cm patches, and 2 10cm patches. plus an override key for the EVA cables.
Now, that EVA cable has ends that are designed for quick-release, quick-clamp action, and the actual suit clamp is on a rolling shuttle which won't fit over then ends. the release requires having one end in hand & connected, and releases the OTHER end. The cable is usually wider than needed, simply for ease of handling it in suit gloves. I assume a 1.5cm cable, with 2cm diameter x 20cm long ends, and the shuttle overall is 3cm diameter, 20cm long, with a built in caribeaner, and a double lock-socket ( on an extension opposite the 'beaner) which will NOT activate the quickrelease unless it has two cables attached, or an override key is used. This can be used to daisychain the cables, or to "Multiplex" (Connect two EVAers to a third, for maximum reach. The whole idea is to be able to disconnect the rear end from it's socket once the new socket is reached without having to go back. Cable is usually (IMTU) rated at 5000Kg at 1G, with less than 1% give. (Note: you CAN lift a 10 ton object in 1/2 a G, but don't suddenly jerk nor strain it...)
