Silly question - PSI drug

This isn't earth-shattering rules debate or anything, but -

I used to have a copy of the original LBBs (now long gone, unfortunately :( ) and, therein along with the Xboat route generation table (which I miss!) was a name for the PSI-enhancer drug. Which has gone out of my memory since then, and has not been re-published in any of the CT reprints I've seen. Can anyone tell me what it was?

Pere Ubu,

Ken beat me to it. There's another drug mentioned in CT also; tarsuline. It's part of the plot in the Tarsus boxed set.

Bill

Thangomonganol.

Really? Wow, I HAD forgot all about it. (It's been some 20 years since I've seen the books, mind you...) Thanks for cheking that.

Huh. The first edition was indeed different, wasn't it? I don't even think it mentioned the Imperium. (My first TU was something called "The Terran Confederation", and I don't even think I used subsectors, just an full hex sheet for the map.)

Booster: derived from thongamonganite

Double: more potent derivative of thonamonganite

Special: pure thongamonganol

Tarsuline sounds like a brand name.

Don't forget Bandage. It was in JTAS (long before it made it to T4).

Oh, and there is another drug mentioned in one of the GDW adventures--set on a water world. Nomads of the World Ocean? The one where they're hunting the whales for their glands and making the drug out of it.
