Small craft launch rates

Okay, I'm a little unclear on small craft launch rates.

High guard pg 46 states it usually takes 30 minutes per craft, with tubes handling up to 10 per turn.

Page 66 states it takes an hour per craft in storage hangars, tubes 10/turn again, but doesn't say anything about standard (+30%) hangars.

So, if I've got a big hangar bay like on a star destroyer, what's the launch rate? 1/30 min, 1/60 min, or something else that I've missed?

It probably just depends on how fast the craft needs to be launched, how ready is it to go prior to launching, and both of those will depend a lot on if it is a military or civilian craft.

A civilian in a hurry might bypass a lot of safety pre-flight stuff, fire her up and go. Less than 30 minutes.

A fighter on the ready line/or tube is going to be prepped so all the pilot has to do is kick the tires n' light the fires and I imagine he's off, too, in less than 30 minutes.

But a ramp start will take longer for a fighter - an F-16 ramp start takes about 20 minutes...and a civilian or military craft not in a hurry will have to take the time to run all the checks and get clearances to go first.

My rule of thumb is: if she's warmed up and ready to go...or if nobody cares how many rules they break ...and it'll fit out the doors, then she's off to the races like right now! Heck, in CT HG craft attached to the outside of the ship instead of in a hangar (like battleriders or somesuch) can be launched immediately and all at once no matter how many there are.

If you have a bunch of craft ready to go in a giant Star Destroyer hanger, then just figure out how many you think can fit through the doorway at a time and use common sense: are they ready to launch or need to be warmed up/crewed/etc.

I think in HG's case they are assuming craft that are cold and empty for 1/30 minutes and observing all safety rules....and 10/tube for fighters manned and on the ready line.

That's kind of what I thought as well, but the rules don't state it explicitly. Unless somebody knows something different, that's probably how I'll run it.
Thanks guys.:)
