We should also show off its kinder side, much as the KGB/Gestapo was viewed by the non-political elements of the population of Germany & the USSR.

Remember, I said, KGB not NKVD or GRU or OGPU or Cheka, as people believed with each name change a semblance of normality was achived not the Extraordinary (read as: Extra Ordinary powers that were bequeathed to the organization).
 
Cthulhu Rising gets better and better - wonder how much work it would take to fully convert Traveller to it?

Am thinking of adding a prior exp system broadly based on TNE careers, High Guard ship design etc.

What else?

Would love a ship combat system that closely replicates the RQ/BRP personal mechanics with a % chance to hit per battery, random damage, armour points, hit locations corresponding to ship systems etc but can't see it working with large ships.
 
Watching Cthulhu Rising develop, my mystification continues to grow as to why Charlie Krank doesn't want to develop it as a full Chaosium product instead of just the monograph.

But then, Chaosium have always moved in mystifying (and unprofitable) ways ...
