Now don't get me wrong, it's not a Space Vikings skin suit, but the part about ""Integrated Tourniquet System" -- a series of blood stanching bands that can lock off arterial bleeding in the arms, legs and ankles." Made me automatically think of them.

Dang it, in my haste to move my provocative interference above to The Pit I also moved what may be a good addition to this thread. A little more info in a hidden(ish) link on the site linked above...

I found a link at the bottom of the article, added after and not very well described. "Door Kickers" is all it said... what is that I wondered? Turns out it's more info on the ITS system including a video of how it works:
