Special Supplements

I understand the Special Supplements 1 to 3 were originally published as pull out sections in Journal 12, 17 and 21 respectively, but am curious about a few aspects of them if anyone can help?

Did the pull out items have a "cover" of different card/papers stock to the rest of the pull out?
Were they ever available as items for sale as well?
If so how if at all did the latter separate items vary from the original pull outs? (new cover? etc)

Yes - a slightly heavier stock for the covers. The Merchant Prince supplement is pretty much what the later full Book Merchant Prince was based on. There is more fluff in the Full book but the Special Supplement is good on it's own.

SS3 missiles feels about about the same inside and out; I'd estimate 30# stock. Not much difference; just heavy paper, not really cardstock.
