Speculative Trade Goods Cards!

Most Gracious Lords, submitted today on SHDC, are a series of Trading Cards (haha!) to add flavor and presence to all of your Star Spanning Merchantile Ventures... These cards are to supplement the Speculative Trade Goods Table found on page 360 of the Traveller's Handbook, but can be used for any system you like with little to no modification.

These are intended for Private use only!

If you wish, I can send the entire set as a 1.89MB zipped file, all you need do is contact me at the Email address in my profile or on either of my sites in my signature.

Happy Trading, Fellow Citizens!

Well done and they could be very useful. A suggestion either for the cards themselves or for printing them out: Business Card sheets / templates.

I've printed out playtest cards for games before using templates for Avery type business card sheets. The sheets I had were single-sided (i.e. they "peeled" off the sheet but were still square cut). I'm sure there are double-sided precut business card sheets though or just for game use a back isn't neccessary though it does help.

I had them in mind at the outset to be bizness card size to get a reasonable number per page... the other thing that is nice is that is easily expandable... different situations or Trade goods cn be added, or added in repeat numbers, as the situation requires...

Very nice, Baron! < scurries off to find some cardstock >

BTW, your e-mail address does not appear in your profile here (no doubt an anti-spam measure), so I've sent you a PM with mine.

Thanks in advance,

John

May it please you m'lud

One has looked at your offering and one is truly amused.

May your gracious presence be praised. Maybe Hunter will take you up on the offer and put it on the COTI official board. Perhaps, my learned and noble Lord, Hunter will then give you Soc points to put you where you should be.

I remain your humble and gracious servant,

Elliot

Quite nice! Only thing I would ask you add is trademark information for Traveller and copyright information T20 as the source material for the cards.

Be happy to host them here also if you would like.

Hunter

Absolutely! Please let me know how you want it done, and its done, Milord! Is a one page disclaimer good, or should each card be marked with the info? Can you pick a good wording for it?

Put a registered trademark symbol (the R with a circle around it) on the name Traveller on the various cards, and add the following copyright notice to the rules page of the cards. That should cover you well enough.

The Traveller game in all forms is owned by Far Future Enterprises. Copyright 2004 QuikLink Interactive, Inc. Traveller is a registered trademark of Far Future Enterprises. If you want me to make them available for download from here, just send me the zipped file via email (grip@RPGRealms.com)

Clearly, something I must download. Baron, I look forward to it anxiously.... and of course, my thanks in advance.

I like these. I am importing them into a Pagemaker template and will print them on Avery business card stock for my personal use. I have a sheet of 10 backs to print one side & am working on 10 cards per sheet for the fronts.

Is anyone interested in this? (Obviously this offer is contingent upon it being ok w/ Baron Saarthuran von Gushiddan and Hunter.) My guess is the pagemaker files will makeup a zip file of about 6MB, but that is a guess based on the size of the file w/ the backs on it. I could also create a PDF if people would prefer that.

I now have it converted to Pagemaker format & exported to PDF. I noticed that page 20 & 21 are exactly the same (except for the missing R symbol on one page.) Was this deliberate? It is a 1245K pdf. If anyone is interested, I will be glad to send it as soon as I get the OK.

The redundancy is the result of a late night... I was using the Non-R page as a printing tester.. I think all the items on the THB list of Goods are in there... if not, I of course have the masters... the thing I would like to see is how it comes out... the printing facilities available here would make Gutenberg scoff! Is it possible you could send a digital picture of a deck to my email address? I doesn't need to be anything fancy, mind you...

Has anyone tried them out? I used one to generate trade items for an upcoming adventure, and it was pretty fun...

How about posting it to the E-library once it's been cleaned up?
