Storr Sector

Anybody out there in CT land know anything about Storr Sector?
On all the maps I look at it seems to be almost completely de-populated, with only a couple of planets at Tech 6.
Is there any 'canon' on this sector? All the surrounding sectors seem fairly well populated, and developed.

Chuck

There are no "canon" publications for Storr/Stoerr sector, so anything you find on the web will be fan-generated. This should give you a lot of freedom, if you so desire to take it.

As for why it's depopulated, the only mention I've found about it is the general thought that whoever developed that sector went back and removed the population (rather poorly, all things considered, as the rest of the social data remains) because it was "beyond Charted Space".

Personally, I'd take the sector data that you've found and regenerate the starport and social data for the UWP. This way, you keep consistency with the dot maps that the sector was based on, and you get a developed sector to play in.

If you need any assistance in that area, I'd be happy to help with that. Won't be able to tackle it until this evening, most like, but it won't take me long to do once I get home.

Please let me know,
Flynn

Flynn, thanks for the offer!
I'm going to use the sector data as is, and do a 're-contact' campaign for my players.
They want to do exploration/exploitation and I figured on making them part of an Imperial trade delegation, with a competing delegation of NPC's from the Solomani and Hivers.
Actually, I could use some suggestions on why the area is depopulated. Plague? A pre-curser 'virus'?
War? Genocide?
I'm fishing here. Plead your case!

Chuck

No worries. As for why it's depopulated, you could go with "numerous faulty colonies that died out after the Ramshackle Empire, during the Long Night."

One suggestion, anyway,
Flynn

Flynn,
Looking at the map, I see that it has an 'Al' code, followed by a number, ie. Na 30.
Non-aligned... whats the number represent?

Chuck

Should be three numbers in a row: ex. 302. They are, in order: Population Multiplier, # Planetoid Belts, # Gas Giants. In the example above, that would be three times ten to the POP power for population, zero planetoid belts and two gas giants.

Hope this helps,
Flynn
