Striker Book 1 Rule 23 A. Burst Size and HEAP

Evening all,

I am creating an outline for Design Sequence 2: CPR gun design that links the vague references to the rules in Book 1 and Book 2.

Book 1 Rule 23 A states "HEAP rounds use the burst size to determine their firing sheaf, even though they have no actual burst."

Where or how do I get or figure out the burst size for a HEAP round?

Treat the HEAP as if it were an HE round of the same bore size. That gives you the firing sheaf - it's just that in the case of the HEAP, you get the contact penetration only, no frag hits.

Think of it this way: the gun fires the same pattern whether it's firing HEAP or HE rounds, but the HE generates contact and frag hits, while the HEAP generates only contact hits.

Thanks Carlobrand, I wasn't sure if that was the case or not and for confirming that the rule is correct that HEAP rounds only have contact penetration values.
