Striker Book 3 DS 4 MRLs Installment 3 Price

Morning again all,

The instruction for calculating the MRL short/medium/long range rocket price just confused me, I know doesn't surprise anyone ;).

My understanding is that the formula, Ammunition weight by bore size x Weapon type base price multiplier x ammunition multiplier, for determining ammunition price per DS 4 B3 substitutes the short, medium, or long range price multiplier for the weapon type base price multiplier.

The formula for MRL rocket price, if I'm on the right track, is

Ammunition weight by bore size x Rocket type price multiplier x ammunition multiplier.

To determine a 7 cm short range rocket price the following values are needed:

1. 7 cm ammunition base weight = 10 kg x Rocket weight multiplier 2 = 20 kg.

2. Short range rocket multiplier = 4

3. KEAPER price multiplier = 1.1

4. The price of a 7 cm short range rocket with a KEAPER warhead is:

20 x 4 x 1.1 = 80 x 1.1 = Cr88

Is my understanding correct?

Looks right.

I've never actually thought of applying a KEAP (or KEAP/ER) to an MRL round, but I guess it would work: KEAP-type rounds tend to be very dense with minimal cross-section, so terminal velocity's likely to be pretty high. It'd be one whopping big hit to take on the deck armor.

Afternoon Carlobrand,

Yippee, another calculation that appears to being working.;)

To be honest I just grab the first price multiplier that I saw when looking at the table that wasn't 1. Of, course the MRL design sequence doesn't say that KEAP and/or KEAPER warheads are not available for rockets.

Contact pen for a 12 cm short range MRL rocket with a KEAP warhead is 31/28/25 and a KEAPER would be 29/27/25, if I've got the process down correctly.

Thanks Carlobrand for the help.
