T5 core book

Shawn, my apologies. The 404 is my fault. I watched that listing all day yesterday and as it didn't sell I purchased it. I will now have it long before the one I ordered directly from Marc (79 days ago).
I'm not in the habit of ordering 2 of everything. It was my son who begged me to order a copy for him.

Sigh, noble knight. There the guys who have an issue of Travellers Digest #5 and want like $65 for it plus around $25 for postage to Australia. I can't imagine what they would want for the postage on the T5 book to Aus.

I would like to grab another T5 core book so I can keep the officially signed one all nice and boxed and use the new one for gaming.

I know what you mean Spaceresearcher. I wanted JTAS issue 1 but they were asking 90 USD for it, too much.

I just checked Noble Knight and they must have more than one copy of T5 core book as it is still showing in stock.

Shonner, if you go to Noble Knight and hit the T5 category you will see it.

I wasn't looking to buy it. Just never been to that site before, and was curious if it was like eBay or Drive-Thru.

Ah I see. Well I have dealt with them about 20 or so times and they are my go to online shop. They always ship within 24 hours. Some items are expensive but some are very well priced. It's the international shipping that bumps my orders up though.

Question for Baltech?

Curiosity question about the Royal Mail?

I've purchased Traveller books from a guy on the Isle of Jersey and shipping, Royal Mail, to the USA was no more than a couple of Pounds. From England (And I know England is a component part of Great Britain) it's often 10-14 Pounds.

Also, I've waited up to 6 weeks from England, and received from Jersey within 5 days...

I know you aren't in charge of, or responsible for, the Royal Mail, but I though I'd ask a fellow Traveller enthusiast who might be able (and willing?) to shed some light on this.

Canada is even worse but, that's another issue!

Thanks in advance for any help in understanding this.

Not too sure, to be honest. I am from Manchester, UK but I live in Ireland which has it's own postal system (an Post). Would it have anything to do with Air Mail v Surface Mail? When I order from the UK, delivery can take 3 - 7 days. Yet I have ordered from the States and received my items faster than UK to Ireland.

Thanks. There really aren't to many ways to satisfy what admittedly is a minor curiosity.

As a not serious at all aside; Are you one of those Manchester Football fans living as an Expatriot for certain, shall we say "exuberance" at a match or two? ;)

I know right? Strange. But another store I deal with on a regular basis and they are excellent. They obviously made a mistake with the cover upload.
Hopefully the description matched the actual T5 - I still very often see Mongoose Traveller referred to as 'T5' on the webs...

IIRC, UK post went private a long time ago and Jersey has its own, separate, private post - hence different rates. (And there is a lot of big corp hardcopy between the U.S. due to unique banking, tax, and regulation in the Isles.)

Thanks for the insight. The stamps from Jersey almost make me want to be a stamp collector. They are large, colorful and very artistic.

Haha. I am a Manchester City fan and I actually used to be employed by them. But I never saw any sense in football hooliganism.
Maybe you are mistaking me for a Manchester United fan (the evil empire)

Mongoose closed their printing shop in the US recently. So my books now come from the UK via the Royal Mail. Takes about 8 days to get to California. I'm just paying the $7 or $8 for shipping.
