• Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
  • We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.

Test message

Yea, they occurred when not all the permissions were right, so it posted half the information, but not all of it. So they're dead messages.

So who broke it?

Just kidding, this is to see if it works.

edit - the post worked and so does the edit function

The ISP broke the whole site with their upgrade. We're on a new server with a new back end and a new site management software. And the transfer didn't go as smoothly as we would have liked.

If you see any more weirdness with the board acting up, please report it immediately. I'd love to track it down and fix it.

The gallery doesn't seem to be working

So that bug I was experiencing here, where the posts I'd read still showed in bold as if they hadn't been read?... well, that's no longer happening.

So thanks for that. I know, small potatoes but the update seems to getting at all the little things the board's been having trouble with lately.

You mean we're no longer running on 10+ year old vBulletin?

I heard in the past that there's a bunch of custom tweaks that made upgrading "unpossible" to more recent versions "unpossible".

No, the forums are still the same. The hardware has been updated and the management software has been replaced. The database has been upgraded. But the forum software is still the same.

THe problem with the current software is that Hunter customized it heavily, by hacking the source. And the database. We haven't been able to import the database, even, for the newer versions.
