I was paging through my CD copy of the Traveller Book and I saw a reference to other planned books such as the Traveller Fleet and the Traveller Alien. While the latter was clearly morphed into the Alien Module series I was wondering if anyone had any information on what GDW had planned for those books and why they were never realized, (other than, "they decided not to do them").

The Traveller Alien was sort of released through the German licence holder called The Traveller Encyclopedia which cobbled together all Alien Modules and Alien Realms in one hardcover bound volume. There were only 200 ever printed and I think I something like 105. I bought it directly from Germany when the web was young...circa 1996.

I think there's an inbuilt tendency among RPG companies to dream up far more projects than can ever be accomplished.

Yeah, it's like that everywhere. Project lists often exceend both scope, time and resources to accomplish them....

I think that I actually have one of those...save it was published by Privateer Press...it came along with a supplement Delta 3 or Delta Research something. or it was another Ryker's...
