...or scam? Who knew? Anyway, I was killing a few moments surfing and stumbled across this rant and thought it might be of interest to a few here as I've heard some state interest in waiting for IMAX releases of new movies. Maybe you're not getting everything you want/expect/deserve out of the experience?

Yeah, I've heard about this.

The fact that the cinema isn't the size of the VAB should be a clue...

That is the least of the problem. It is formatted for 2 hours only. So movies longer than 2 hrs get re-edited to fit down to hrs. APOLLO 13 was so bowdlerized, making content changes similar to TV's edits most famously with ON HER MAJESTIES SECRET SERVICE and WILD GEESE that were massively re-edited by ABC years ago.

That's a different issue, and I think it was fixed a few years ago.
