So here we are, everywhere, somewhere, anywhere, but nowhere near Turin. That's where the Olympics will be as you all know. I won't care much about the different events, bar two, Ice hockey and strangely curling. I used to care about cross-country skiing too, but then Sweden started to su... be no good and that limited my interest in it, strange how that works isn’t it?

Anyway, Sweden is going to get the hockey gold this time - I know it! HA! Tough luck Canadians.

Nah, shouldn't have said that, I'll get cocky and (hey that rhymes with Hockey) jinx* it. But yeah, I'll probably watch much of it. I prefer the Winter Olympics to the Summer. Hockey, curling, skiing, sledding, even the speed skating. Not the "artistic" skating

(but at least that gives me some time off).

Well I'll watch the curling hoping that the UK (read Scotland, probably the only sport we can be proud of) can regain their form.

I'll also look forward to the 4 man bob. TeamGB always promises and fails to excel at that.

I also hope we may at last see a British skiing medal after Alan Baxter was robbed of his because the US version of Vicks inhaler is chock full of methamphetamine, not found in the European version (which merely uses natural products; pine oil, camphor oil and menthol). And on top of that the version used was a levo isomer and not dextro, no abuse potential but the IOC does not recocgnise the difference

On the hockey front I've put money on the Czech Republic to make the final two, good odds and a fighting chance (I'll apologise to my friend Joe Thornton now as I've already put money on them to beat Canadia by 3 or more, great odds)
