Today I got my new Traveller messenger bag from Cafepress. It's great. Now I have something to carry my Traveller stuff in when I go gaming. The link
These things are really well made. The strap is wide, and sewn directly to the bag on one side. On the other side, it threads through a plastic loop so it can be adjusted. The loop is pretty securely attached to the bag.
I already had one of these messenger bags, but had to have one of the new Traveller bags. They're pretty roomy inside; they won't carry all of the Traveller books you own (rent a U-haul for that), but it will carry the essentials you need for a single gaming session.
