Traveller Campaign in Dallas, TX Area

Hey! I'm Stan Shinn located in Wylie, TX (just east of Plano, TX, NE side of Dallas in the U.S.). I am thinking of starting or joining a Traveller group this year; wanted to see if any folks out there are playing Traveller in the area or would like to be in a campaign at some point.

I put out some feelers here:

Plus have some personal contacts who are interested in addition to the folks on the meetup group above.

Anyway, if you are playing or interested in a campaign in the Dallas/East Plano/Wylie area, post or message or feel free to email me at stanshinn@gmail.com or PM if you prefer.

While you're at it, could you tell us about your gaming style, games you've played or played in, your favorite character types and player group types, and that sort of thing?

You know that http://www.g33k3.com/ will be held in McKinney this April, right?

I recently became aware of this. Another Traveller player (handle of SSWarlock, lives north of Dallas) I know if plans to attend. Would be cool if someone would run a Traveller game at this Dallas area con!

Here's another con in the area that would be cool to have a Traveller game at:
GamerNation Con
March 14 to March 16, 2014
Plano, TX

Say, Robert -- are you the Robert of Deneb Sector fame?

Here's a quick brain dump about me:

One of my blogs with gaming posts: http://swshinn.com/
My gaming style as told through GM merit badges: http://swshinn.com/gaming-badge/
My RPG bucket list: http://swshinn.com/rpg-bucket-list/
A free RPG I just posted today: http://rpgsociety.org/1974-style/

I like roleplaying and character development. Though one-shots are fine, I like long campaign arcs where characters and setting develop.

I end up GM'ing a lot but really I prefer to play when I can manage.

Yes, I know David Smart well. He's a good guy.
And yes, that's me.

Sounds good. If I find the time to get to g33k3, maybe I should run a pick-up game of Traveller.
