Traveller Computer Wargame Released

Hey Folks,
I posted here a while back looking for playtesters for a Traveller Wargame. Many thanks to those who helped - the work is done! The game has been released on the new Pocket Empires website:

Have a go. See what you like or don't like about it. Many of the rules are configurable to the scenario. If you are interested in designing scenarios, let me know. We'll happily accept new scenarios as submissions to the website.

Hi Jo,

Gave the war game a whirl and I have a comment or two.
* Good job, well done. Nice tight uncluttered UI

* Played to the last man standing, ie. no ships left. Seems like a certain defeat condition but maybe I'm missing something. Anyway, the game did not end with a "you lose" banner. Very Traveller like in that sense but it seems a bit futile to just sit there hitting done until the adversary achieves his victory condition.

Again, maybe I'm shooting from the hip and this is all in the docs but you'll, no doubt, remember I was never a big fan of docs.

Llamas? Hmm? I thought Shamus Dunn was a cow man?

Fancy meeting you here?
Yeah, I guess there is no great fanfare at the end. That's the hardest thing to test. It is a little hard to detect when the game is over, other than turn count, as well. You can have starship production turned on or off, which complicates things. The code isn't being kept secret. If you are interested I'll point you at the CVS repository.
And, yeah, Seamus is a "cow man". But that's my alter ego. "Jo" is more into llamas right now. Can't a split personality have different animal fetishes?

Nice game, but I've noticed that sometimes starports forget to finish building ships ("-2 turns remaining" and they're still working on it...)
