The HIWG CDs have the Xboat mailing list archives.

This has the list archives from 87 (about the beginning) to 2002. The page can be slow to load because it is a large directory listing. There is a zip file at the bottom with everything.

The only thing I don't have is a public archive of the Traveller central era (2002-2014). If anyone knows of one, please let me know.

It's a big directory tree. It took me three re-tries to finally get it to load. Large set of files in a directory on a slow server == frustrated users.

I have a set of Perl modules which parse and search these archives (when stored locally). I've found them useful... but these days your OS can search files faster.

I was able to download the zip file just fine. I have memories of actively following the list, but apparently I did not contribute that much.

Those archives are funny, though, the order of the messages is something Other Than date.

Finally got it downloaded after many, many tries. Worth the effort -- an incredibly useful resource.
