Traveller Map Population Overlay

JFGarber

SOC-12
Is this overlay available available for the casual user, such as mine own humble self?

I am unable to locate it on the site.

thanks,

What exactly do you mean by a population overlay?

Political regions are highlighted with borders on the map.
Estimated population numbers are indicated in the UWP.

If you are looking for something like racial breakdowns, the closesest thing to that is the Allegiance code which will indicate the majority race and which political entity they are aligned with.

Add a po=1 parameter to the URL, e.g.:

Note that nothing shows up at the default scale, you need to zoom in a bit until at least a dotmap is showing, e.g.:

There's no UI for it and I don't have it documented in the API so I reserve the right to change it at any time. (Well, since the site has no warranty that's true for everything...)

There's also importance overlay (im=1) and droyne worlds (dw=1). Parameters are separated from the base URL by a question mark (?) and subsequent parameters are separated by ampersands (&).

Very cool! You've got way too many features hidden in that site. :)

Interesting. It works nicely viewing it versus Rebellion maps.

Those are awesomne features! The culturalreagions are pretty consistent. An d the reason why the Somomani Rim is occupied is blatantly obvious now.
