[Traveller Renaissance] Create a One Page Traveller for games at your FLGS

A one-page Traveller cheat-sheet.

Andy Slack did one, once. You can, too.

Fair Use limits textual quotes to one page. However, using that page to build out a mini-Traveller system might be going too far.

But, it's a useful exercise, especially if we run pick-up games and need hand-outs to new players.

What's needed?

Characters
Roll 2D for each characteristic: Strength, Dexterity, Endurance, Intelligence, Education, Social Standing. Higher is better.
Add some skills, and a level for each skill from 0 (basic familiarity) to [6 or whatever] (acknowledged grand master).

Tasks
[Roll dice based on difficulty against a target number] <- varies by system

Equipment
Very brief equipment list, with dual function: (1) stuff and (2) cost of living concepts. "Autopistol, Cr300. Beowulf-class starship: Cr50,000,000."

Might I suggest letting players know how many credits basic living expenses are? I have found that players vastly over estimate what they will need for basics, mostly from those used to playing D&D.

Also a simple linear scale Soc level?

One line for each would do nicely.

Example: Soc
Homeless 0 Poor 1-2 Lower 3-4 Middle 5-6 Upper Class 7-8 Rich 9-A Noble A-F

This was done in terms a new player can relate to, not OTU

I've got a copy of Andy Slack's Classic Traveller Ultralite that I can put up for people to use as an example if you think that would help. I just need to know where to put it and link it.

I started sketching out a one-page rule sheet, when I realized that it's going to look a little bit like a combined character sheet + cheat sheet.

TRAVELLER - 1 line header
Task resolution section (20%)
Characteristics section (1 line)
Service section (20%)
Skills section (20%, columns)
Equipment mini-list (20%)
FFE note - 1 line footer
