Think of convention scenarios.

My thought is a classic pirate boarding action. You've got your crew in the cargo hold of the Beowulf, fighting off a vargr boarding party with cutlasses, shotguns, and laser pistols.

It needs:

The back cargo section on one 8x11 sheet of paper.
NPC vargr stats, armor, and weapons for the ref.
Crew stats, armor, and weapons.
Short description.

Several months ago I did a location description with adventure hooks based on cult of "tree huggers" as a continuation of the psionic tree scenario in JTAS. This one is in German and has stats for GURPS and Savage Worlds. I guess it would be easy to GM as a one-shot scenario. If anyone is interested I could translate it into English.

A one page version of Death Station, with a 1d6 table for what the threat aboard the station is.

Spot on, Mike. Jim Kundert also suggested a variant of DS. I can make a generic "Space Hulk"-style dungeon crawl in a Lab Ship, or other toroidal station.

Threat:
1. Ine Givar scum
2. Frankenstein's Monster / Human Experiment Gone Awry
3. Chamax Hunters
4. Droyne commandos (thus injecting some RSG into DS?)
5. Ling Standard saboteurs
6. ?

I scribbled some notes down, but never fleshed it out. It *ahem* borrows from two episodes (one TV, one movie) of a popular well-known science fiction show.

Man's First Jump
The characters are troubleshooters/guards/special ops-type team given a mission to protect the launch of the spaceship to attempt the first use of the jump drive by Terrans. I envisioned the launch to be like an Apollo moonshot, from Cape Canaveral, Florida, but another option is to have it launched from an orbital docking/ship-building facility.

Another option is to have the characters play the part of the bridge crew and scientists conducting the experimental jump. Or play both in two back-to-back mini-scenarios: once launched the players then take control of the bridge crew while their ops guys go have beers for the successful launch :).

Updated the title to sync with the scenarios mentioned in its three sister threads.
