Traveller Water Vehicles ?

rust

SOC-14 1K
While I am busy designing our new desert world setting, we are still playing
our previous water world setting, now under conversion to the same back-
ground universe.

As a part of this conversion I would like to introduce some more Traveller-
like water vehicles into the setting, which until now had a technology based
more upon GURPS Ultra-Tech than on any version of Traveller.
I currently plan to make a list of suitable Traveller vehicles, and then to re-
troengineer them with the Mongoose Traveller supplement for civilian vehi-
cles to adapt them to the Mongoose Traveller rules system.

However, it seems there is not exactly much choice of water vehicles in any
of the Traveller versions. All I have found until now are the Traveller's Aide 8
Through the Waves for T20 and some vehicles in various adventures, for ex-
ample Nomads of the World Ocean and thelike.

So, if there is any other source (except from GURPS Traveller) that has more
than one or two water vehicles in it, please let me know - thank you. :)

hunh, I thought there were more on the BARD VERA (TNE) pages :(

Just one though.

Maybe I'm thinking another site but it's not coming to me now sorry.

(maybe Peter Grey's posts to various fora?)

Rust,

Off the top of my pointy head...

For CT: Nomads of the World Ocean, Mission on Mithril (water rules for ATVs), the first of the Sky Raiders trilogy (hovercraft), a Keith Bros. aquatic environment supplement and an adventure (or two?) set in the Far Frontiers using the supplment.

For MT: Various JTAS adventures and amber zones including a late JTAS adventure set late in the Rebellion with several ships designs like a sail-driven sloop, steam gunboat, and "modern" coastal patrol craft. DGP's 101 Vehicles. JTAS also printed a water vehicle design series in several parts.

For TNE: Many examples in Path of Tears and other books.

For T4: ?

For GT: Aside from all the generic GURPS designs that would be 'portable, the Darkmoon Planetary Survey includes a few designs.

For T20: A specific supplement.

Regards,
Bill
