LOL! I kinda like them. Though since they look like the Imperial sunburst, perhaps there should be different ones for other appropriate areas like Aslan space and such.

It was cute, but basically rendered the map useless - my eyes are bad enough!
Haven't been visiting travellermap for a while, happen to fire it yesterday only to meet the happy faces.
I was theorizing : ok maybe there is now a premium membership removing the faces or something. Went into the wiki, the blogs, forums to find any mentions of that change - to not avail.
I was really like 'maybe no one care and it is all ok' and then 'it is just me' line of thinking

Anyone else unable to get travellermap to show up on an iPad? I get the tools but the map itself is just a pattern of grey and black squares no matter which way I zoom.
It pulls up fine on my iPhone and my desktop. Used to pull up fine on the iPad. I've tried clearing the cache and a reboot.

Hrm... works on my iPad (iPad 2, iOS 8) - I'm not sure what might be different. I changed some of the guts of the page's map rendering recently but there should be no difference between the iPad and other iOS devices.

I've had the same problem for the past several days on my iPad 3, ver 8.2 Thought it was something on my end so have been trying to id the problem. The download options at upper right are still working. The map is extremely useful; thank you for your good work!
Edit: Is working normally on my iPhone 5C on the same network.

Mine is also the iPad 3 and ios version 8.2 (forgot to mention in my first post). Just tried the download options and they work for me as well so it's just the main view that doesn't show.
Also, I agree that the map is fantastic. Thanks for putting it out there inexorabletash!

That url works on my air2 when the original didn't, however it renders very slowly
Thanks. Some searching around gives me a guess as to what the problem is. I'll try and get a real fix up tomorrow night.

I've put in a terrible, horrible, no good very kludge for now. Keep me posted on whether or not things work now (without the 'nocanvas' hack).
Both are now not working. Just a patchwork of grey and black squares.
Same for me (iPad 3/iOS 8.2) with both the nocanvas and the regular.
