Also sounds like something that a TL=8+ Agricultural world would probably be doing to increase crop yields from a given land area ...
After all, the only thing you need to do is "treat" the plant seeds with a short exposure to cold plasma, right?
That's something which can be done at an industrial scale (with the right equipment, of course) prior to the planting of crops in a terrestrial environment.
Obviously, more RESEARCH would need to be conducted towards this possibility ... but a +50% increase in plant growth rates (which, incidentally, consumes carbon to grow the plant) would seem to make for a worthwhile return on investment into the technology.

Can I get a CPMP-8 (Cold Plasma Man Portable) Gun so I can plasma the plants in my garden when I go out to water?

Too bad all we have onboard is hot plasma.

If we could turn hot plasma to cold plasma, that would solve our heat sink issue.
