Unable to view pdf files on my Traveller site

Gruffty

I am perplexed and confused <All: "so what's new?">

I've uploaded two .pdf files to my website. Everyone else can see the files when they go to the URLs in their browser.

I can't.

There must be something I need to change/tweak somewhere for me to be able to see the files.

Help. Please?

What browser are you using and which version of Acrobat Reader did you install? Did you make sure that the plug-in installed for the reader in your browser?

I'd say reinstall Acrobat Reader (if that's what you are using) and make sure you enable browser plug-ins.

Thanks Sir Dameon :D Adobe Redaer 7.0 was the problem. Uninstalled it then reinstalled it, all working fine now

Although I could access the links in the Moot, the link in your signature http://www.spicapublishing.co.uk/index.html is not working for me. I can still go direct to the Spica homepage, but even there the links to the SPL maps, the Traveller links and the Fair Use Policy don't work. And the page doesn't fit on my screen width (19" monitor).

Yeah, sorry Bromgrev. I took the entire site down and have started to put it back up again. I still need to put a few pages up, and the files are now all end with .htm, not .html.

I'll update my sig with the correct address.

As for the screen size problem, it fits fine on my 17" LCD.

Interesting. I didn't know you could run an older verion of Acrobat and a higher version of the Reader on the same system. I guess they are really two different programs...

Just musing. Glad to hear you got it working.

D.
