CT Only: UPP reader?

Anyone know of a program or spreadsheet that you can enter a upp into and it spits out the planets information?

I believe in book 3 it is UPP. Page12 , Bottom World Data Format. I think UWP is current terminology.

Interesting. There's two UPPs.

Book 1, page 8, where the UPP is described, list the Universal Personality Profile.

Then, in Book 3, as you cite, the UPP is the Universal Planetary Profile.

I wonder if it wasn't changed to UWP (Universal World Profile) until MT.

Anybody know?

You could use the Sector Maker app by agorski, and hand enter the planet data into it. That will give you the basic information for the T5 Rules. Then if you go to either Beast Maker, also by agorski, or OjnoTheRed's Map Maker, and enter the UWP data, you will have a map of the world generated for you.

You might be right. It's UPP in The Traveller Book, which I think is the last printing of the main CT ruleset.

... The Traveller Book, which I think is the last printing of the main CT ruleset.

Nope.
LBBs CT-77
LBBs CT-81
Traveller Book 1983
Starter Traveller 1984
QLI version (I'm not certain if it changes anything from 1981 or not, other than single digest sized volume.)
Big Floppy Book reprint (CT81)

So, either way you count it , TTB isn't the most recent

UPP was used in Journal of the Traveller's Aid Society issues number 22 and 23 in articles, with a copyright date of 1985 in the sense of Universal Planetary Profile. UWP does not appear at all in the first 24 issues of the JTAS.

You can make your own sector data file and add it to the program's search list, assuming you can run '74-BASIC on your machine. The code is ugly still, even without line numbering.

Or... Add your world to one of the existing sector files. And increment the number at the top of the list in that file.

ADDED:
I just noticed that the line numbers being used as labels are not in numeric order. Crazy.

Thanks for the comment. I am not sure if I am going to spend any more time on it, though.
