Since the numerals are upside down on the one on page 329, I think that is the upside down one.Originally posted by Falkayn:
Yeah, it's different to the vehicle catalog picture between pages 336 and 337.
Considering it's only a 400 dt ship, 1) there ain't enough space for another 20 dt of bridge and 2) any hit that takes out the bridge has probably wiped the ship out completelyOriginally posted by Tanuki:
That ship had _better_ have an auxillery bridge for when the long, dangly front bit gets shot off. That's what I'D aim for -- "Yes! Blew the bridge right off!"
Or perhaps that's the Starlight Lounge and the real bridge is back in the main body of the ship. [/QB]
400 tons isn't really a SMALL ship, especially compared to most player ships. But that long popsicle stick to the bridge seems like a real weak point. If I were a merchant or a pirate with one of those after me, I know where I'd concentrate my fire. One lucky shot and the rest of the patrol ship is 380 dtons of intact salvage. ("Nope. Don't know where those other guys went -- think they jumped out. We're here to rescue you." )Originally posted by William:

There is a very nice take on the Type T deck plan by Paul Schirf located here:

That sounds better. All the deckplans I know of for the patrol cruiser stuck the bridge out there. Please describe what you know of the design that's not in the THB description. I'd like to do deckplans of it and knowing where things are supposed to be in this version would be very good.Originally posted by bryan gibson:
actually, i thought I might shed some light on the who;e debate, but I frankly dont get it. POPSICLE stick bridge? where do you think the bridge is? That big knot on the foreend of the ship is a bigass sensor pod.
the long schozz part of the ship houses a LOT of avionics and so forth as well as missle bays... the bridge is buried in the hull and uses synthetic vision, and the symetry is a non issue as it is never really intened for either atmospheric insertion or traditional flight.

Until the third Ed reversion to upside down making the 2nd Ed the Valuable one.Originally posted by Liam Devlin:
Does this mean when the 2nd edition (printing) comes out, the Patrol cruiser will be right side up, will the 1st edition become more valuable for the error?
