Volume?

Has any one figured out the relationship between Volume and Tons yet. I looked at the Ask Avery, and he just when around the question. Or in other words:
"How many Vl are there in 1 dton?"
Does anyone have a simple, straight answer for this?

The simple answer is from p233 1dT = 1400vl but the question is not so simple. I expect you may have read these already but in case newer citizens are wondering this topic has been kicked around, with mixed results in answers...

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll go with tjoneslo suggestion and use a different system (CSC works for me). I just wish there was an easy way to convert T20 items over to it without going into phylosophy & theology to explain it.
