over in the Zhodani Consulate Map thread we read of cartography resolution issues ...

Do the cartographers get to decide the outcome or will it be mighty battlefleets?

... and this seems like an excellent opportunity for a coti contest of some sort. fleet construction economics? fleet construction? ship design? fleet logistics and strategic maneuver? dramatic epic tales of victory and defeat? territorial resolution? subsectors and planets named for heros (if not victors) ?

The point of sacred ground is that only the annointed are allowed to go there.

lookin' kinda pristine and untrodden ....

And the outcome is decided by the game designer...

it's a role-playing game. let's role-play the outcome, get that game off on the right foot!

There are probably worse things for a game designer to have when making that decision than the results of at least one simulated wargame.

Just think of this as an exercise at the Command College senior Strategy Course.
[winner gets invited back as an instructor and serious consideration for certain desirable Staff Positions.] :)
