Wayne Peter's Florian Scout

Blue Ghost

SOC-14 5K
Knight
I have a question about the Florian interior arrangement. In the 3D pics created for the vessel it looks like there's a "head" or "fresher" tucked in the corner of each cabin. But the deck plans show a "Washroom" outside of the galley, and no head in any of the cabins.

For those of you who use the ship in your gaming sessions, was this an oversight, or am I not reading the deckplans correctly?

Deckplans? There are deckplans? I have been looking at this beautiful ship for forever and never seen deckplans. Where can I find them? Where, where, where, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy....

Hmm, it looks like he took them down from his website.

Checking deviantART... nope, not there either. I think they're in the gallery here, are they not?

Checking...

It looks like Wayne took down the deckplans. I think he said at one time that he was dissatisfied with the ship for some reason.

PM me.

What is your favorite ship? What ships do you find best suit a group of PCs? What ship holds the fondest memories for you, either as a player or a referee?

He has posted deckplans and deckplan keys of the Florian scout
hope that helps good hunting.

I have the deckplans also, if anyone needs such just PM me and happy to e-mail such.

The above offer extended if not violating any forum covenants.

In the 3d pics, are those freshers / heads I'm seeing in the crew quarters, or are they closets?

Did Wayne ever post stats for this ship?

I still can't find stats for this vessel.

I seem to recall is was 110 tons, J2 or J3, ... I can't remember the rest.

I am pretty sure that he was creating HIS version of the Type S Scout/Courier, so it probably has stats nearly identical to the Type S ...

100 dTon
M2, J2
4 staterooms

From conversations with him about deckplans, he didn't place a lot of weight on the virtue of counting deck squares ... if it has 4 staterooms and a bridge and a MD and a pp and a JD, that's good enough ... how he allocates the space within those broad guidelines is his business.

But what about all the other gobbledygook? Stuff like hull, weapons (obvious dual laser from the pics), com, sensors, stuff like that?

Only he can tell you what he was thinking, but looking at the layout of the upper deck, my money says he was looking at the classic Type S and thought "I can create a better layout for that ship." ... and he would have been correct.

I really think that you can use the stats from any Traveller version Type S Scout and Wayne's deckplan and just run with it.

I could be wrong.
I have no inside information, but look at it ... bridge, staterooms, commons, gunner to turret above ... it is a Type S in a sexy shell!

I recall there being stats, I just can't for the life of me recall all of them. But I remember the odd-duck thing about 110 tons. I actually do remember the stats being posted somewhere.

This is a very complicated drawing with lots of curves. I'll probably just contact him. I thought somebody might know and volunteer that info.

Yeah, it says that on the title, but I remember a scout vessel of somekind that was listed at 110, and that number being associated with this vessel's stats.

I'll have to due some investigating.
