As I pointed out to you in a different thread, this is demonstrably untrue in the OTU and there's no solid proof that it's true in the Real Universe.

What is true in both universes is that whether the hominid that existed 300,000 years ago was Homo sapiens or not, he didn't look like anatomically modern man.

But that doesn't mean that the descendants of those who were transplanted to Vland can't have evolved into something that looks like anatomically modern man. Parallel evolution. Happens all the time.

(Note that I'm not saying that it isn't equally (or even more) likely that some of the Minor Human Races look much more like Neanderthals. It's just not the Vilani.)
